My First Ten Friends On The Internet Zine

My First Ten Friends on the Internet is a flashback to the days when author Amy Burek's real-life friendships and internet friendships started to overlap and blend. Previously undigitized photographs are paired with text from Livejournal, an abandoned Yahoo email account, and her college-era personal websites (post-geocities but pre-blogger). Using our real names on the internet is supposed to keep us honest, but in a way, the version of Burek behind that old username and avatar was a more authentic version of herself.
