Aderia dates back to 1819, when Iwasaburo Ishizuka began pursuing handblown glassmaking during Japan's Edo Era. After advancing his techniques and expanding his line of work, he established a glass factory in Nagoya, where Aderia continues to manufacture all of their glassware today.
