Cray-Pas Set of 12

Invented in Japan in 1925, the legendary Sakura Cray-Pas are the perfect combination of a crayon and a pastel. With the vibrant colours of pastels and the ease of use of crayons, they are more usable than traditional oil pastels but with all the tactile blendability and full colour coverage.

This set of 12 colours is a perfect starter set of these wildly popular oil pastels. The soft texture will respond to pressure to apply to the page, opening up many fun, creative techniques. Blend together with a fingertip, layer colours on top of each other, and smudge and scrape layers to reveal colours beneath.

Comes packaged in a box inspired by the original mid-century modern packaging design, secured with an elastic cord.
